Accessibility Testing and Improvements
We conducted an accessibility test using WAVE in July 2025. WAVE is a comprehensive suite of tools designed to enhance web content accessibility, offering checks for compliance with WCAG 2.2 guidelines. While WAVE identified no accessibility issues across our website, we acknowledge that automated tools only represent a part of WCAG compliance and that true accessibility can only be verified through human testing.
Further human testing revealed areas requiring improvement. We are actively working toward making our website fully accessible and are consulting with Centre for Accessibility Australia to achieve this goal.
Identified Issues and Actions Taken
Some reports in PDF format are not fully accessible. To address this, we also provide Word versions as an alternative.
Navigation items with sub-links, such as, the “About”, “Instrument” and “Resources” section will announced as “link – folder dropdown” by screen readers due to the limitations of the Squarespace website template. We welcome your feedback if this causes difficulty navigating the site.
Current Compliance
Our site currently conforms to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0, established by the World Wide Web Consortium’s Web Accessibility Initiative (W3C WAI).
